Gaffer, Ed Smith and DoP, Robin Fox have worked together for many years, successfully collaborating on a wide variety of projects from commercials for Nokia & Max Factor to television productions such as 'Simply Nigella'. Now they've pooled their expertise to create LITEWORX, a company which aims to serve the industry more effectively and with greater flexibility.

Ed is a fully qualified City & Guild (17th Edition) Lighting Engineer with over a decade of industry experience. Working his way up from apprentice to Gaffer, he's honed his craft working on some of the biggest productions in the UK including: 'Mission Impossible 6', 'Fast & Furious 6', 'Dracular Untold', 'Mr Holmes', 'The Sense Of An Ending',  'Mr Selfridge' & 'SS-GB'.

  

He’s renowned for a ‘can do’ attitude and 

professional delivery with a smile.

 

Clients include:  FOX, BBC, ITV, C4, SKY, AMAZON, DISCOVERY and CHANNEL 5.

Robin graduated from the National Film & Television School in 2005 with an MA in Cinematography. That same year he won Broadcast Magazine's Award for 'Best Young Cameraperson'.

 

Following that success he's gone on to work on a range of productions from documentary and docu/drama to digital content and commercials.

 

In 2010 Robin won an IVCA Gold award for Photography for the film '1001 Inventions and the Library of Secrets', starring Sir Ben Kingsley. More recently Robin and Ed combined on Nigella Lawson's cookery shows, 'Simply Nigella' & 'At My Table' for BBC2.
